ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Fawad Chaudhry on Monday articulated his reservations against the interim government’s snail paced progress on the electoral process.
Chaudhry while addressing the media in Islamabad, said that the caretaker government was progressing very slowly.
He added that he had written a letter to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) siting the reservations pertaining to the interim set up, which was left unheard by the ECP.
PTI leader lashed out saying that the District administrators were still the same for Sindh and Punjab.
Chaudhry claimed that police had already been depoliticized in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) thus it won’t be able to influence the elections, however, loyalists as district administrators in Sindh and Punjab can influence the elections.
He added, while referring to National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) supplementary references against Sharif family, that Nawaz and his counsel were merely resorting to delaying tactics to escape judgement.
Fawad went on saying, that Nawaz had once promised the former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Iftikhar Chaudhry to be made the president which never happened as Nawaz backtracked.
