FAISALABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf (PTI) members who did not get the party ticket have opted to contest as independent candidates in the upcoming general elections on July 25.
PTI’s former district general secretary Ajmal Cheema from PP-97 Chak Jhumra has announced to contest the polls as an independent candidate.
PTI members Zahir Aulakh (NA-101), Rana Naeem-Ul-Iqbal (PP-104) have also decided to contest as independent candidates.
Umair Wasi ( NA- 102), Gull Mahota (PP-106) have left PTI and got the tickets from Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).
Former ticket holder Najam-Ul-Hassan Tota Pehalwan from the PP-111 is contesting elections as an independent candidate with the electoral symbol of ‘Parrot’.
